Gary Braasch, Too soon gone
The Karuna Foundation's very first grant was to Gary Braasch, an environmental photographer who spent his life documenting climate change throughout the world. At braaschphotography.com and aworldviewofglobalwarming.com he recounted his focused journey to tell the story of our planet's transition. In 2012, the Karuna Foundation funded a research mission to the Himalayan regions of Northern India, Nepal, and Bhutan for Gary and his partner, Joan Rothlein, to do a survey of climate change adaptation work as it was being done on the local level. I wanted to share some of the amazing photographs he brought back.
Gary, you will be deeply missed.
